Rise from the underworld!
Many Ancient Egyptians believed that the sun was reborn each morning and descended each night into the underworld known as the Duat.
While traveling through the Duat, the diminished sun was endangered by forces of darkness. It was guided by a host of gods including a scarab-faced deity named Khepri, god of dawn and the renewal of life.
Duat represents Khepri’s never-ending journey through the space between life and death to ensure that the sun will always rise.
Who will bring the dawn? Game on!
Use the marble winged-scarab game pieces to duel for the honor of rising the sun out of the underworld.
Just as Khepri learned new ways to outmaneuver those that would oppose him, so should you! Try new openings and test new strategies with every new game. There will always be a new variation to play.
